JSTOR Online Journal Archive
"...carry the keys of the world’s library..."
The Library is pleased to provide access to JSTOR electronic journal archives for alumni. We hope it will play a valuable role in meeting your professional, scholarly and everyday information needs.
The JSTOR collection, one of the most heavily used by Bowdoin students and faculty, includes full-text access to articles in over 2,300 core academic journals in a wide range of disciplines. As a journal archive, JSTOR typically provides complete coverage of a journal from its first volume to volumes published within the last 3-5 years, although some journals are covered up through their current issue.
Research librarians are happy to help you make the most of JSTOR. They can be reached by phone, email, chat, or, if you are in the Brunswick area, at the research help desk in Hawthorne-Longfellow Library. Our contact information is available at: http://library.bowdoin.edu/help/ask-us.shtml
As mentioned above, issues published in the last 3-5 years are not usually available via the JSTOR archive.
