Alumni Fund

Gifts to the annual funds are solicited each year by members of your own class, parents, and friends of Bowdoin, working with members of the Annual Giving Staff. These solicitations are done through a series of mail appeals and personal communications. Contact The Office of Annual Giving

 

 

Bowdoin Clubs

Do you like planning social events? Lead or be part of a committee that organizes events for alumni and parents in your area. Activites are planned for each regional club by committees of alumni volunteers working with the Office of Alumni Relations. Contact The Office of Alumni Relations.

 

 

Reunion

Class Reunions are held every five years and are planned and hosted by a committee of classmates. The Reunion Committee assists with shaping Reunion Weekend class programming and helps the class acheive its goals around Reunion Weekend attendance, class gift totals and donor participation rate. Career Planning

The Bowdoin Career Advisory Network (BCAN) is made up of Bowdoin Alumni who volunteer to be available for other Bowdoin Alumni and current Bowdoin students to share information regarding their career path, job-hunting strategies unique to their field, and other useful career related advice. Admissions

Bowdoin Alumni Schools Interviewing Committee (BASIC) supports and expands the outreach of the Admissions Office through the use of active and informed alumni volunteers in the recruitment of qualified students for Bowdoin. Members of BASIC serve as representatives of the College to students, parents, and guidance counselors in their local communities. More information.

 

 

Alumni Council

The Alumni Council is a 32 member body representing the greater alumni body to the College through executive oversight for alumni programs, providing input, advice, and perspective on efforts, and serving as ambassadors for Bowdoin in members' communities. 2015 Alumni Service Award

For his varied and distinguished service to the College, Leo J. Dunn III '75 has been named the recipient of the 2015 Alumni Service Award, the highest honor given by the Bowdoin Alumni Council.

Dunn has been a tireless and devolted volunteer servings the College as Class Agent for a remarkable twenty-eight years, Alumni Fund Director, Chair of the Alumni Fund, and as a valued member of the Class of 1975 Leadership Gift Committee and the Hall of Honor Selection Committee. Dunn have was instrumental in the success of several capital campaigns including a successful effort to reengage members of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, which culminated in the installation and dedication of an inspiring polar bear sculpture on the concourse of the Sidney J. Watson Arena.

 

2015 Club Volunteer of the Year

A SmithAlicia Smith '04 of the Bowdoin Club of Boston has been named the 2015 Club Volunteer of the Year by the Bowdoin College Alumni Council in recognition of her enthusiasm, initiative and achievement in Club volunteerism. 

Alicia's leadership and thoughtful approach to alumni programming has helped create countless opportunities for Boston area alumni and parents to connect with each other and to the College.
