JSTOR Online Journal Archive
"...carry the keys of the world’s library..."
Good news! After a successful pilot program, the Library is happy to announce that it will be renewing access to the JSTOR electronic journal archive for alumni for another year. We are thrilled that the response has been so positive and that we are able to provide you with access to such a rich archive of scholarly journals.
The JSTOR collection, one of the most heavily used by Bowdoin students and faculty, includes full-text access to articles in over 1,400 core academic journals in a wide range of disciplines and over one million images, letters, and other primary sources. As a journal archive, JSTOR provides complete coverage of a journal from its first volume typically to volumes published within the last 3-5 years.
Research librarians at the Library are glad to help you make the most of JSTOR. They can be reached by phone, email, chat, or, if you are in the Brunswick area, at the reference desk in Hawthorne-Longfellow Library. Our contact information is available at: http://library.bowdoin.edu/help/ask-us.shtml
As mentioned above, issues published in the last 3-5 years are not usually available via the JSTOR archive.
