Political Science, Polling, and their Perils
A discussion led by Professors Michael Franz and Andrew Rudalevige

engaging faculty members discuss elections and the
pitfalls of attempting to project outcomes.
Michael Franz, Associate Professor of Government
Chair of Government and Legal Studies Department, has taught at
Bowdoin since 2005. He has authored numerous publications focusing on
the history of elections and campaign advertising.
Andrew Rudalevige, Thomas Brackett Reed Professor of
Government, arrived at Bowdoin in 2012 after twelve years in the political
science department at Dickinson College. He studies American political
institutions, with an emphasis on the modern presidency and interbranch
relations.
