Reunion General Registration Information

Registration

To register online, go to the Reunion Registration page. Downloadable class registration forms are also available on each class registration page.

Bowdoin strives to make returning to campus as affordable as possible. As part of this effort, the College substantially subsidizes the cost of Reunion Weekend, and this year’s registration rates have been reduced so they are lower than they were for Reunion five years ago! Plus, the registration fee for children has been eliminated. That’s right, kids are free! With the exception of Thursday’s train ride, the cost for attending every event is included in the overall registration fee. Under Maine sales tax law, registration fees collected for Reunion are now subject to sales tax and the tax is included in all fees.

Upon arrival at the Reunion Welcome Center each registered classmate will receive a class-specific piece of memorabilia selected by the class’s reunion committee. Please register by Friday, May 3 (Monday, April 22 for the 50th Reunion), to ensure that you receive the item. Alumni registering after this date cannot be guaranteed the unique class gift and will receive a general non-class specific item.

By registering for Reunion, each individual understands and agrees that Bowdoin College will be taking photos and video at Reunion events, and may publish them in any format or media without additional permission from the individuals who appear in the images.

Cancellations

If cancellation of a Reunion reservation or on-campus room is necessary, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@bowdoin.edu or 207-725-3266. Individuals will be reimbursed in full for cancellations made prior to Thursday, May 23.

Reunion Welcome Center

When you arrive on campus, your first stop should be to check in at the Reunion Welcome Center located on the first floor of Moulton Union. Reunion Welcome Center staff will provide you with all of your registration material, housing information and keys, memorabilia, and general information.

Housing

On-campus housing is available to alumni and their guests on Thursday, May 30, Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1. On-campus housing is provided primarily in residence halls. A limited number of campus apartments are reserved for families with children and are available on a first come, first served basis. Accommodations in all facilities include twin beds and very minimal furnishings. Each attendee registered for on-campus housing will be provided with a set of sheets and towels, a blanket, and a pillow. Attendees are encouraged to bring additional pillows, blankets, or other amenities such as coat hangers, alarm clocks, etc. There are no private bathrooms.

You may request on-campus housing when registering. If we have questions about your request we will contact you, but you may otherwise assume that your request has been filled. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to request a specific roommate. Please note that housing reservations are not confirmed until payment is received.

For the 50th Reunion and earlier classes, on-campus housing is free of charge. For other classes, the cost to stay in on-campus housing is as follows:

  • Individuals: $25 per night
  • Couples: $50 per couple for one night or $100 per couple for two or more nights
  • Families with children: $100 per family (flat rate)

If you prefer to stay off campus, a list of area lodgings can be found at bowdoin.edu/about/visiting/where-to-stay.shtml or can be requested by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@bowdoin.edu or 207-725-3266.

Athletic Facilities

Bowdoin’s athletic facilities are available for returning alumni and their guests. Take a swim in the Greason Pool, sweat it out on the cardio machines or free weights in The Peter Buck Center for Health and Fitness, play a tennis match at the outdoor courts at Pickard Field, or enjoy a run through the Pickard Field trail or on the outdoor track. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to use The Peter Buck Center for Health and Fitness.

Hours vary for athletic facilities and will be available when you arrive on campus. Guests wishing to use these facilities must sign a waiver at the location they visit.

Accessibility

Bowdoin College is committed to making its campus accessible to persons with disabilities. However, not all areas of campus are fully accessible. Individuals who have special needs should contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@bowdoin.edu or 207-725-3266.
